Moon Garou tradition gifts a young warrior with a blade when they reach adolescence. One of the elder family members takes an old weapon of theirs and melts it down, refining age, memories and experience into a new blade for the newest generation.

It is a great day of pride for a young warrior to be gifted their first blade, but a bittersweet for the old warriors as they give up the dreams of future battles, passing the torch to those who come after.

Adamant, being the strongest metal that the Moon Garou can access, is believed to hold the strongest memories and those lucky youngsters that gain such a blade often find themselves elevated to positions of great respect and authority.
