The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

The bronze guard defended the alliance between the followers of Guthix and the followers of Saradomin. The metal symbolised the unity of two different materials and created something stronger. While most of the guards preferred the noble sword, a few preferred the physicality of the Bronze Mace. Each swing delivered powerful momentum straight at the enemy. The force broke bone, obliterated muscle and often sent their victims reeling, allowing a second strike before the foe could recover. There was a mountain of a man known as The Cairn, for his skill at delivering people to one, who favoured the mace over more noble weapons. He crushed anyone who defied the alliance, providing the force of justice with each swing of the mace. When he was asked to turn his fury on the priests of Guthix, it was the one time he stayed his hand.
