The deer of Ashenfall are quick and nimble, able to dash across entire regions at the drop of a hat. By boiling the tainted water of Ashenfall with a deer’s antlers, draws some of this essence of swiftness is drawn into the clean water, granting the drinker a measure of that fleet-footed nature.
