Cooking is one of the skills in Runescape: Dragonwilds and allows players to prepare food and drinks. Consuming these items can provide sustenance, hydration, and health, as well as provide temporary perks. Higher levels decrease the chances of burning higher-level ingredients.

Fuel
Adding fuel sources to a campfire allows players to cook. Each fuel source provides a specific duration of cooking time.

Ingredients
Ingredients have a power level that determines what level of Cooking is required to cook them on a campfire or grill, and then what level is required to not burn them on the same. For more info, see the Level up table and the Culinary Confidence skill Perks.
Many ingredients also have a chance of being loot inside chests across Ashenfall or in vaults.

Update history
This information is based on the changelogs of the game.
- Umbral Sands released, bringing new ingredients and recipes. Although the raw fish are listed as Power Level 7 ingredients, when cooked, they end up as Power Level 4. The raw and cooked cactus steak, however, are both listed as Power Level 5 ingredients. Tea leaves do not have a listed Power Level and are instead dried in a kiln and then ground in a grindstone.
- Fishing was added, bringing a variety of new ingredients and recipes for Cooking. Originally, fish from Fellhollow were Power Level 5, and fish from Dowdun Reach were Power Level 6, but both types were lowered to Power Level 4 in later hotfixes.
- The skill caps were raised to 99 and the power levels of ingredients were adjusted, as well as the Cooking level required to cook them without burning. A number of new ingredients and recipes for the Cooking Range were added.
- The Cooking skill was reworked with the following:The Cooking Pot was replaced with the Stone Range.Several more foods were introduced into the game to balance the sustenance and perks that already existed in the game.Delicious food was removed, including the delicious versions of Wild Pie, Kebab, and Meat Pizza.
- All fuel items have had their burn times adjusted to help you avoid losing the occasional log or fuel source while you’re cooking or crafting.
- We've adjusted XP balancing around purifying water.
