Gold leaf is a craftable item reward from various Agility courses that allows the player to make potions, golden regional capes, and a gilded version of the gyrhawk amulet. They've always been there, unmoving, over generations. Gold leaf is one of them. You can definitely over-use it, but when used with care, it's timeless.
