Rune Altar
buildingRune Altar
The rune altar is a crafting table used to craft runes, which are required to cast spells. To make runes, players need rune essence, which comes from essence geysers around the world, as well as from goblin packs, garou packs, and vault guardians. It does not have any special conditions to function.
Runes can be auto-crafted quickly or attuned by playing a simple minigame for more experience.[explain]

Update history
This information is based on the changelogs of the game.
update
- The maximum Rune conversion ratio while attuning was lowered from 1:20 to 1:10, but the XP per Rune was increased, resulting in three times as much XP as before in some cases.
- Anima Vents also provide less XP but require less Rune Essence and award up to 1:30 ratios.
- Auto-crafting will provide 1:10 ratios, but will only be worth 25% the experience compared to manually converting. Teleport costs were lowered, and Attunement and Infusion were made easier.
update
- Rune altar now has an auto craft and attune function to produce runes. All rune stack sizes are now 9999 per slot. The XP values for producing runes have also been reduced, and Mining rune essence no longer provides additional Runecrafting XP.
update
- The Rune Altar's collection was changed from "Crafting" to "Tools, Weapons & Armour".
update
- Players can now make Water Runes at the Rune Altar.
Trivia
- Before version 0.11, the rune altar used to allow players to make wardstones. Creation of wardstones was moved to the crafting table. As of 0.12.0, wardstones have been removed from the game entirely.
